Dimitri Albert Edouard Vorbe, a 52-year-old Haitian businessman, was detained at Krome Detention Center in Miami following his ICE arrest on September 23, 2025. Elias Bautista, a 35-year-old Mexican national, was arrested after allegedly striking an ICE agent during a traffic stop near Americana Boulevard and Pointe Vista Circle in Orange County on June 16, 2026. According to Florida Highway Patrol, Bautista was in a vehicle that was stopped by FHP and ICE agents working together. When law enforcement approached, several people fled the vehicle. During the pursuit and confrontation with an ICE agent, Bautista allegedly struck the agent, causing a significant head injury, before fleeing the scene. Investigators located and arrested Bautista on June 18 during a targeted operation. He was charged with felony aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer. ICE officers and Florida Highway Patrol conducted a vehicle stop on June 18, 2026, near Americana Boulevard and Pointe Vista Circle. During the stop, Elias Bautista, a 23-year-old from Mexico, fled on foot and physically resisted apprehension. Bautista struck an ICE agent, causing a significant head injury, before fleeing the scene. He was apprehended days later and charged with felony aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer.

Jeison David Aceituno Moran was detained at Western Tennessee Detention Facility pending removal proceedings without receiving a bond hearing. He filed a habeas corpus petition challenging his detention. The court ordered respondents to provide Aceituno Moran with a custody redetermination hearing under 8 U.S.C. § 1226(a) within ten days or release him from custody, following the Sixth Circuit's decision in Lopez-Campos v. Raycraft.

Jessica Trevino, a 34-year-old DACA recipient who arrived in the U.S. from Mexico at age six or seven and has lived in Alamo, Texas her entire life, was arrested by ICE agents on December 28, 2025, as she left church with her family. During the arrest, agents rammed the family's vehicle in a Home Depot parking lot, struck her husband Juan with a baton, and shoved her 14-year-old daughter Sarah against the car hard enough to bruise her. Trevino's DACA status was valid and not set to expire until spring 2027. Despite an immigration judge's order for voluntary departure and despite federal law protecting active DACA recipients from removal, Trevino was deported to Mexico on March 25, 2026—the judge's statement about her case contained errors regarding her DACA expiration date. She worked in an elementary school cafeteria and had no criminal record. Her three U.S. citizen children—ages 16, 14, and 13—remained in Texas in the care of relatives. Her son Santiago took a job to help pay bills, and her daughter Sarah is receiving therapy through school and participating in JROTC while processing the trauma of her parents' arrest and deportation. Her two younger daughters now travel every weekend from Brownsville to Matamoros, Mexico to see their parents. FWD.us and LUPE have condemned the deportation as unlawful, noting her case is part of a broader pattern: as of February 2026, more than 261 DACA recipients had been detained and over 86 had been deported, many with valid, unexpired status. Her attorney is demanding her return.

Daniel, a man with severe intellectual disabilities (IQ of 47) and limited English proficiency, was arrested by ICE agents on June 17, 2025, while collecting recyclables in his east Los Angeles neighborhood. Under the conservatorship of his siblings for decades, Daniel understood Spanish but struggled with English and could not cope with loud noises or routine disruptions. Despite his inability to understand removal proceedings or consent documents presented in English, and without involvement of his conservator or judicial review, he was deported to Mexico under claimed voluntary departure. His nephew Christopher, a U.S. citizen, launched an extensive search using ICE's online tracker and contacted federal authorities, eventually working with legal aid group ImmDef to locate Daniel at Adelanto detention center. Daniel ended up in a hospital in Tijuana with no awareness his family was searching for him. After more than nine months, lawyers secured his parole and return to the U.S. A federal judge subsequently issued a temporary restraining order blocking ICE from detaining him if he returns, ruling that his deportation raised serious due process concerns.

All detainees at the South Florida Detention Center, a facility in Florida's Everglades known as "Alligator Alcatraz" that opened in July 2025, were transferred to other facilities in mid-June 2026. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security cited hurricane season safety concerns as the reason for the transfers. However, immigration advocates and lawyers dispute this explanation, noting the facility operated throughout the previous hurricane season without prior closures. Federal prosecutors later charged a different man, Eduardo Cruz Garcia, with the assault. Castillo-Ormeno expressed concern that the misidentification could harm his reputation and affect his ability to legally return to the United States, as well as his U.S.-born daughter's documentation.

Olga Perez, a 47-year-old indigenous Mam language interpreter and community leader in Palm Beach County, Florida, was arrested during a traffic stop on I-95 in November 2025 and placed in ICE custody in Arizona. After seven months in detention and nine delayed immigration hearings, an immigration judge ordered her deported to Guatemala by July 6, 2026. She was released on her own recognizance pending voluntary deportation and made a surprise visit to her family and the Guatemalan-Maya Center in Lake Worth Beach before being deported. Perez had spent 30 years in the U.S. as an undocumented immigrant, volunteering as an interpreter and translator for indigenous communities in the region. Her deportation leaves behind four U.S. citizen children, ages 13 to 21.
