Haitian man who went viral shouting 'Biden forever' during ICE arrest deported to Haiti
Wisteguens Jean Quely Charles, a Haitian national, was arrested by ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations in Mattapan, Massachusetts on January 22, 2025, and a video of the arrest in which he shouted 'Biden forever' while resisting deportation went viral. DHS said Charles had originally been granted Temporary Protected Status in 2013, which USCIS terminated in 2022, and DHS described him as having 17 prior criminal convictions, including assault and drug-related offenses, and alleged gang membership. He was held in federal custody for about 19 months while his case proceeded, and a federal immigration judge issued a final removal order in November 2025. ICE deported Charles to Haiti on September 10.
