Colombian man left on bus outside Krome for nearly 48 hours without food, water, or toilet access
A 47-year-old Colombian man transferred from FDC back to Krome on March 14, 2025, was left on a bus parked outside the facility for almost 24 hours with no food, water, or bathroom access. Officers briefly let the group out Saturday afternoon before forcing them back onto the bus for another 24 hours until Sunday. They were then placed in a freezing, overcrowded processing cell for 11 days. During processing, he called over an officer when a cellmate became very sick: 'The guard said no. We could not get medical attention until the processing was done. I told him, he is not well.' The next day a nurse found the man had high blood pressure and had probably had a mild heart attack.
