Father detained at Phoenix home as children scream in terror during ICE raid

ICE agents broke into the home of Clemente Chilel Ramírez in the Estrella Village neighborhood of Phoenix on May 1st and detained him after he returned from work. His three children, ages 6-12, screamed in fear during the operation. Ramírez stated that no search warrant was presented for his arrest on private property.

Man arrested for voyeurism at family home with minor victims, ICE confirms unauthorized status

Cristian Ivan Ceballos Vega was arrested on felony voyeurism and misdemeanor criminal trespass charges after allegedly entering a family's property and engaging in sexually gratifying conduct while looking into their home where minors were present. ICE confirmed he is not lawfully in the United States. The arrest resulted from a joint effort by Ferris DPS, Texas DPS, U.S. Marshals Service, and ICE.

Construction worker arrested by mistake, detained three months in Colorado

Refugio Ramirez Ovando, 43, was arrested in May 2025 while on his way to work at a construction concrete company in Grand Junction. ICE detained him for three months, and an agent later admitted the arrest was a mistake made in an effort to find someone else. The ACLU filed a lawsuit on his behalf challenging the arrest and detention.

Austin high school senior detained by ICE after work shift

Luis Fernando Cabrera, a senior at Northeast High School in Austin ISD, was detained by ICE on May 1 while leaving his job at Popeyes on Cameron Road. He is currently held at Karnes Detention Center and faces the possibility of missing his high school graduation. Cabrera entered the U.S. through the legal asylum process in sixth grade and is from Mexico.

ICE Mistakenly Sends Indian National to Alaska Instead of New York

ICE agents escorted Rakesh Rakesh, an Indian national, to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport for deportation to India via New York, but mistakenly placed him on a flight to Alaska instead. Despite warnings from Alaska Airlines flight attendants, boarding proceeded. After the plane landed in Alaska, the captain arranged a hotel and return flight to Seattle, where ICE returned Rakesh to the Northwest ICE Processing Center in Tacoma for an additional 16 days of detention before his deportation was completed.

ICE Arrests Dozens of Delivery Drivers at San Diego Military Base Gates

ICE officers arrested dozens of delivery and rideshare drivers at the gates of Camp Pendleton military base in California as part of an "interagency security initiative" launched in May 2025. Many of those detained had temporary permission to work in the U.S. and were employed by apps like Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, and GrubHub. Federal judges have repeatedly found the detentions violated due process, yet the base and ICE continue the practice.
