Henry County father detained by ICE after traffic stop

Eduardo Guzman Garcia was pulled over in Henry County for a broken brake light on July 9, 2025, and subsequently taken to jail for driving without a license. The Henry County Sheriff's Office notified DHS after discovering an immigration detainer on him, and ICE agents arrested him at the jail. He has been held in an ICE facility in Atlanta since July 12, 2025, while his family continues working on his green card application.

ICE arrests Guatemalan asylum seeker minutes after Sacramento court hearing

ICE agents arrested a Guatemalan asylum seeker identified as Juan on July 8, 2025, minutes after he completed his immigration court hearing at the John E. Moss Federal Building in downtown Sacramento. The man had been complying with all court requirements, had no criminal record, and had not missed any previous hearings or check-ins. Despite receiving a new court date scheduled for October, he was detained by ICE immediately following his hearing. Volunteers from NorCal Resist assisted his family member in locating legal resources and using the federal detainee locator system.

ICE arrests Venezuelan delivery driver at Albuquerque Walmart

ICE agents arrested Deivi Jose Molina-Pena, a 33-year-old Venezuelan on Temporary Protected Status, at a Walmart on July 7, 2025. The arrest was captured on video. The arrest occurred following tensions between American-born and immigrant delivery drivers working for Walmart's Spark service, with American drivers reportedly calling ICE hotlines to report the immigrants' locations. Molina-Pena suffered a head injury during the arrest and remains in ICE custody in El Paso.

Palestinian man re-detained by ICE after 17 years on supervised release

Hamza Mohamed Al-Kashif, a stateless Palestinian born in Kuwait, was re-detained by ICE on July 7, 2025 during a routine check-in after being on supervised release since 2008. Al-Kashif had a final removal order from 2007 but ICE had not secured travel documents for his removal to Kuwait or Egypt. The court ordered his immediate release, finding his continued detention unlawful due to no significant likelihood of removal in the foreseeable future.

Father detained in ICE raid while operating taco truck

Anastasio Sanchez, a 51-year-old man who had operated a taco truck in East L.A. for five years, was detained by federal agents on July 6, 2025, near Whittier and Atlantic boulevards. He was transferred from Metropolitan Detention Center in downtown L.A. to Adelanto Detention Facility in San Bernardino County.

Anti-ICE Protesters Convicted on Terrorism Charges for Wearing All Black

ICE detention officers at Glendale hospital spark outrage

Newlywed Palestinian woman released from ICE custody after months

Ward Sakeik, a 22-year-old stateless Palestinian woman married to a U.S. citizen, was released from ICE detention on July 2, 2025, after being detained for nearly five months starting in February when she returned from her honeymoon. Sakeik, who has lived in the U.S. since age 8, was arrested at St. Thomas Airport in the U.S. Virgin Islands while under an order of supervision and with a green card application pending. The government attempted to deport her twice, including once while a federal court order was in place, before releasing her.

Korean students detained by ICE in recent enforcement crackdown

This article documents three cases of Korean students and legal residents detained or pursued by ICE in 2025. Tae Heung "Will" Kim, a legal permanent resident and Ph.D. candidate at Texas A&M, was detained at San Francisco Airport in July after returning from his brother's wedding, held without legal counsel, and transferred to ICE facilities in Arizona and Texas pending a September 4 deportation hearing. Yeonsoo Go, age 21, a student with an R-2 religious worker visa, was arrested outside a federal courthouse in New York on July 31 after a visa hearing and held for five days in detention facilities in Manhattan and Louisiana before being released. Yunseo Chung, an undergraduate at Columbia University and permanent resident, was pursued by ICE in March but not arrested; she filed suit against the Trump Administration for violation of her First Amendment rights, and a federal judge issued a preliminary injunction prohibiting ICE from arresting or detaining her.

Cuban Man Detained by ICE After 20 Years Under Supervision

Tampa family arrested after ICE agents enter home without judicial warrant
