Somali US citizen, 22, surrounded by ten armed agents with guns drawn while driving to work
F.A., a 22-year-old Somali US citizen, was stopped while driving to work during Operation Metro Surge. ICE vehicles boxed her in, and ten men approached her, some with guns drawn. Most were masked and did not identify themselves. They asked for her ID and if she was a US citizen. F.A. stated, 'I believe I was stopped solely because of the color of my skin and appearance, including wearing a hijab.' Federal judge Eric Tostrud agreed, finding the stop was race-based.
