In Louisiana, federal agents detained a 22-year-old with Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, which is granted to certain young people who suffered abuse, neglect, or abandonment. This individual, who also had a grant of deferred action, was arrested when he arrived at work. Agents dismissed his work authorization and deferred action as proof of lawful status.
