Matías, a 68-year-old Cuban man who had lived in the United States for decades, was deported to Mexico. He described being depressed, anxious, and experiencing severe psychological stress linked to detention, family separation, and the uncertainty of deportation. 'I want to eat and I cannot,' he said.
