Nearly 10 restaurant workers detained after employee calls police in Orlando
ICE detained approximately 10 employees at Ternerita Steakhouse in Orlando on July 10, 2026, after police and immigration authorities arrived at the restaurant. According to the restaurant owner, an employee called police following a dispute with management, and when authorities arrived, they conducted immigration status checks on all workers, detaining those who were not U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents. The owner stated that authorities found no evidence of illegal activities related to the restaurant's operations or licenses, and expressed that the restaurant's priority is to support the affected workers and their families.
