U.S. Citizen High School Senior Detained by ICE in Oregon

Christian Jimenez, 17, a U.S. citizen and high school senior, was detained by ICE officers while driving off school grounds during lunch break in McMinnville. An officer broke the car's driver's side window and detained Jimenez despite him stating he was a U.S. citizen. Married father detained under ICE mandatory detention policy, accepted deportation to Mexico

Video Confirms Border Patrol Officer Threatened Legal Observer With Arrest in Florida

In the footage, the officer warns the man he will be pulled over and arrested for "impeding an investigation" after following the vehicle from a distance the observer says exceeded 25 feet. The observer, part of a local group monitoring immigration enforcement in the Upper Florida Keys, referenced the recent fatal shooting of a woman by a CBP officer in Minneapolis during the exchange. Key Largo was previously the site of a December Border Patrol stop in which officers pulled a U.S. citizen from her car, and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, which covers Florida, ruled in 2000 that recording police is protected First Amendment activity.

After 135 days in ICE detention, indigenous Ecuadorian mother wins asylum

Charlotte man says Border Patrol agents injured him during traffic stop
