Despite her medical needs, she has received only ibuprofen while detained at Irwin County Detention Center in Georgia and has not been provided her prescribed medication. Lopez, who entered the U.S. in 2021, was granted Temporary Protected Status in 2024 and had a job offer and was enrolled in English classes when detained; her partner said she has attended all required immigration appointments and has no deportation order.
