A U.S. citizen daughter, who had just turned 18, was driving her family to church and then to buy shoes for her younger siblings' first day of school when border patrol pulled them over. The agents scanned the license plate, determined it was associated with noncitizens, and detained both parents despite the driver having done nothing wrong. The eldest daughter was left to care for her four younger siblings. According to the post, the family is indigenous and the traffic stop followed a pattern of racial profiling.
