ICE agents tried facial recognition on woman after her TikTok comment

Text messages obtained by the ACLU show ICE agents in Long Beach, California discussing whether they could use facial-recognition technology to identify a woman based on her TikTok comment, after she allegedly indicated she was undocumented. One agent asked a colleague to run facial recognition off her profile picture, joking about her comment that she was "not a criminal and just hard working," while the other agent replied there was "No match." The exchange also included the agent using an anti-Latino slur to mock her online post.
