Cellphone video shows the women, one still attached to an IV, screaming as agents with help from Polk County deputies detained them; a family member says someone posing as hospital security questioned the women about their immigration status before identifying himself as ICE. A relative's GoFundMe states Calero has a pending asylum case and valid work permit and Carriel holds a visa valid until 2030, though the Polk County Sheriff's Office and DHS said both had overstayed expired visas.
