Haitian residents of Salisbury, Maryland, including a mother identified only as Venue and her children, described living in fear of ICE enforcement after the Trump administration terminated Temporary Protected Status for Haitians in April, affecting more than 330,000 people nationwide. Faith leaders organized a march and protest of about 100 community members, including immigration lawyer Kenson Raymond and Pastor Gabrielle Montilus, calling attention to empty church pews and workplaces as families avoid leaving their homes. Raymond said six of his community members are currently in deportation proceedings, while a second deportation flight carrying 57 people, including U.S.-born children, landed in Haiti amid ongoing violence there.
