Stephen Miller is directing a cross-agency White House effort involving HHS, DHS, DOJ, State and Defense to accelerate deportations of undocumented immigrant children. Nearly 200,000 children have been ordered removed by immigration judges since Trump returned to office, doubling such orders since January 2025, according to Mobile Pathways' analysis of EOIR data. Critics say children are being rushed through immigration proceedings without lawyers and denied access to legal pathways. One example cited is a six-year-old boy in Denver whose father was already deported and whose pregnant mother was preparing to return the family to Venezuela.
