ICE confirms it detained 8 people in February Manhattan, Kansas raids
Feb 5, 2026·Location: Manhattan, KS

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed, after a 236-day delay responding to a Freedom of Information Act request, that agents detained eight people during a February operation in Manhattan, Kansas. Unmarked cars and plainclothes agents were seen making early-morning stops at multiple sites, including a construction site at CiCo Park, Diamond Roofing, and the Northview neighborhood. ICE redacted all identifying details from the records except that one arrest was custodial (the person was transferred from another law enforcement agency) and seven were non-custodial, meaning people were apprehended directly in the community.
