A crew of five Ecuadorian roofers, several of whom had come to the U.S. during the Biden administration to seek asylum and were still in that process, were driving to a job site in Vermont when they were pulled over and detained by ICE agents. All five were transported to a detention center out of state, but with legal help they secured bond hearings before an immigration judge and were ultimately released.
