Diego Giraldo Hincapie, a husband, father of three, and grandfather who moved to the United States in 2021 after leaving Venezuela to escape dictatorship, poverty, and hunger, was detained by ICE on September 10, 2026. His bond has been set at $35,000, an amount his family says they cannot afford on their own. His niece, who describes him as a father figure in her life, is raising funds to help pay his bond so he can reunite with his wife, children, and granddaughter while his immigration case continues.
