João Marciano do Carmo, a Brazilian teen who moved to the US at age 11, was pulled over by ICE agents while driving to his job at a nearby farm in Milford, Massachusetts, according to his parents. His car was later found abandoned with a shattered passenger window, and his family says they have not been able to learn where he is being held. Carmo graduated from Milford High School in May, played soccer, earned the state's Seal of Biliteracy award, and had hoped to become a plumber to help support his family. His parents, friend, and 8-year-old sister describe him as devout, caring toward neighbors, and active running his church's social media.
