U.S. citizen detained by ICE, told his REAL ID is fake

Leonardo García Venegas, a Florida-born U.S. citizen with valid REAL ID, was arrested by ICE agents at a construction site in Alabama on May 21. When he provided his identification, agents claimed it was fake and handcuffed him. He was released hours later after reciting his Social Security number to prove his citizenship.
