Trump immigration crackdown straining federal courts

Federal judges across the country report being overwhelmed by lawsuits from immigrants detained under Trump's mass deportation campaign. The Trump administration reversed previous policy to implement mandatory detention for immigrants without criminal records who previously could request bond hearings. Thousands of immigrants are filing habeas corpus petitions in federal courts to challenge their detention.
