Court Blocks ICE from Detaining Two Immigrants During Check-ins

Guillermo Mendez Lopez and Yesica Yanina Aguirre Aguirre sought emergency protection from ICE detention during their scheduled check-ins on May 25 and 27, 2026. The U.S. District Court for Massachusetts granted a temporary restraining order prohibiting ICE officials from arresting, detaining, or removing the petitioners during their mandatory check-ins.
