Peter Fakhry Zarief Kamel, a noncitizen in removal proceedings, was detained at Adelanto ICE Processing Center on May 21, 2026 without prior explanation or hearing after missing seven biometric check-ins over ten months in the ISAP program. Kamel had been released on his own recognizance in 2024 and was complying with release conditions while his asylum and withholding of removal application was pending.
