Border Patrol agents target man in Glenview Home Depot parking lot because he 'looked around in a paranoid manner,' pepper-spray him twice in the face
2025·Location: Glenview, IL
In Glenview, Illinois, a Border Patrol agent reported that a man exited his vehicle in a Home Depot parking lot at 7:30 am and 'looked around in a paranoid and alert manner,' which the agent described as 'common for undocumented immigrants.' On that basis, agents ran the vehicle's plate, approached him by name, chased him when he fled yelling for help, and pepper sprayed him twice toward his face, including once from about a foot away, for allegedly resisting by keeping his hands under his body as he lay face down after being taken to the ground. The incident was documented in a CBP E-STAR report.
