Cuban man, 62, threatened with deportation to Egypt or El Salvador if he refused to accept removal to Mexico

José Miguel, a 62-year-old Cuban man who still has family in Cuba, was detained by ICE and told he would be deported to Mexico. When he resisted, he reported being told he would be deported to Egypt or El Salvador instead if he refused to go to Mexico. He was deported to Mexico, a country he had no connection to and where Cuba would not accept his return.
