Cuban man with pre-diabetes walks on untreated foot ulcer for three months at Camp East Montana
Ricardo H., a 31-year-old Cuban man, was beaten by guards at Camp East Montana during the week of October 6, 2025, after not receiving food for over 20 hours. When guards placed the food cart in front of detainees but refused to serve it, Ricardo protested that he was hungry and human. About 15 anti-disturbance officers responded. A lieutenant grabbed him by the shirt and slammed him to the ground. Six officers restrained him face-down. They stomped on his neck. 'At 31 years old, I have never seen death until that day. I thought they were going to kill me,' he said. He was dragged down the hallway while crying. ICE officers watched and laughed. He was taken to a room and injected with something that made him drowsy.
