Guatemalan man dies after seizures in ICE custody at Delaney Hall

José Efraín Chajón Raxón died at University Hospital in New Jersey after suffering seizures while detained at the Delaney Hall ICE detention facility in Newark. He was released from ICE custody a day and a half after the seizures before he died. His body was repatriated to his hometown in San Juan Sacatepéquez, Guatemala, where his community held vigils and a funeral.
