Third US deportation flight sends 101 Haitians to Cap-Haïtien as TPS ends
Sep 3, 2026·Location: Miami, FL
Country of origin: Haiti

U.S. authorities deported 101 Haitian nationals to Cap-Haïtien on a third consecutive deportation flight since the Trump administration moved to end Temporary Protected Status for Haitians. The flight brings the total deported on three U.S. flights since August to 319, part of at least 1,187 Haitians returned by the U.S. so far this year according to the Support Group for Returnees and Refugees. The deportations coincide with Haiti's severe security crisis, with humanitarian groups warning the country lacks capacity to safely receive returnees amid gang violence and mass displacement.
