Feride Bardakci, a 26-year-old from Turkey who worked three restaurant jobs in Jackson, Wyoming, was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement at a bus stop while traveling between shifts. Officers wearing plainclothes with visible ICE badges handcuffed her and transported her for processing, and she is now held at Natrona County jail. Her employer, Teton Tiger General Manager Monica Rozzi, described her as "a friend to all of us" and "a wonderful person," and a search of Wyoming and federal courts found no criminal record. DHS said Bardakci was targeted for overstaying a one-year visa she first obtained in 2023, and she is expected to be transferred to an ICE facility in Aurora, Colorado.
