Wyoming sheriff's office makes 53 immigration arrests in week-long traffic operation
May 13, 2026 · Laramie County, WY

Between April 17-23, the Laramie County Sheriff's Office made 53 immigration arrests during a week-long traffic enforcement operation called "Truck Around Find Out, Operation Spring Break," more than any other local or state law enforcement agency in the nation during that period. Forty-six of the arrests were linked to the publicized traffic operation targeting commercial truck violations. The sheriff's office operates under a 287(g) Task Force Model agreement with ICE, which allows trained deputies to conduct limited immigration enforcement.
