The Trump administration asked the Supreme Court to overturn a federal appeals court ruling that blocked its policy of deporting migrants to countries other than their own. More than 25,000 migrants have reportedly been sent to at least 29 third countries, including some considered dangerous like the Central African Republic and South Sudan. The policy is being challenged in a class-action lawsuit over due-process protections for people facing removal to countries with which they have no connection.
