Egyptian-American deported to Equatorial Guinea, detained at hotel for three months

Ahmed Soliman, 30, a noncitizen whose family moved from Egypt to Arizona when he was 4, was deported by ICE on April 28, 2024, to Equatorial Guinea without notice. He has been detained at a decommissioned hotel in Equatorial Guinea for three months and says he is speaking out about injustices he and other deportees at the facility are facing, despite risks to his personal safety.
