An ICE operation at a Home Depot on 43rd Avenue in west Phoenix resulted in the detention of about 10 people early Saturday morning, according to community activists who track immigration enforcement. Witnesses said agents disguised themselves as day laborers and unhoused people, then arrested workers as they exited the store or waited in the parking lot for jobs. Activists including Erika Andiola of the National Day Laborer Organizing Network and Clarissa Vela of People First Project said those detained did not match the administration's stated focus on people with criminal records. ICE has not publicly released details about the operation.
