ICE detains 21 people in raids on Southern Oregon cannabis farms
Sep 23, 2026·Location: Medford, OR

Immigration advocacy group Rogue Valley Migra Watch said ICE detained at least 21 people during raids on cannabis farms in Medford and Cave Junction, Oregon, part of a joint operation with the FBI, ATF and DEA targeting an alleged drug trafficking organization. The group said its count was based on eyewitness accounts, photos, and contact with affected families, while authorities have not confirmed the number of detentions. The Jackson County Sheriff's Office said the raids were focused on a drug investigation and that local deputies did not cooperate with ICE, citing state sanctuary laws. Rogue Valley Migra Watch criticized local law enforcement's involvement in operations that led to immigration detentions, saying such raids "rip families apart and stoke fear in our communities."
