FBI analyst alleges retaliation after flagging probe of anti-ICE protest organizers
Oct 6, 2026·Location: Los Angeles, CA

Jill Fields, a former supervisory intelligence analyst in the FBI's Los Angeles field office, filed a complaint with the Senate Judiciary Committee alleging the White House pressured the FBI to investigate organizers of protests against stepped-up ICE activity in Los Angeles after President Trump saw a TikTok video of people warning the public about immigration agents. Fields said agents were pulled from active drug cartel cases to provide "optics" for the president, and that after raising concerns she was removed from leading three FBI programs and later resigned, which she believes was retaliation. The Justice Department called her complaint politically motivated.
