Last summer, three siblings in Brownsville, Texas, stopped to film an immigration arrest and were themselves detained after agents tried to seize their phones. One sibling, a young teenager, said agents tackled him to the ground, causing sharp knee pain, and separated him from his mother, a green card holder, amid fear she would be taken away. The siblings have filed claims for damages against the government.
