Dayton school district's license plate cameras searched for 'immigration' reasons by outside agencies
Oct 12, 2026·Location: Dayton, OH
Records show outside law enforcement agencies accessed Dayton Public Schools' Flock license plate reader camera data thousands of times, with some searches listing "immigration" as the stated reason. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office was identified as the agency behind these immigration-related searches, though the sheriff disputed one instance. District officials say they were unaware of this data sharing and have now cut off outside agency access to the camera system.
