Immigration agents detain multiple people across Teton Valley, Idaho, over one week

Oct 15, 2026·Location: Victor, ID

Immigration agents carried out a series of enforcement actions in Teton Valley, Idaho, over about a week in October 2026. On a Friday, ICE agents in unmarked vehicles detained three people during a traffic stop in Victor before 8 a.m., an incident captured on video showing a Teton County Sheriff's Office vehicle at the scene; families tracking the detainees' phones said they were first taken to Rigby before being moved to unknown locations. Two days later, a man named Alexander and his brother were pulled over in Victor and questioned about their immigration status before being released after showing passports, while a separate person was detained nearby at 3000 South. On Tuesday, federal agents detained people at a Teton County probation hearing, and on Thursday agents again took people into custody during probation check-ins and drug testing. County Administrator Billie Siddoway said probation officers did not participate in the detentions and that the county has no formal enforcement agreement with the Department of Homeland Security but cannot obstruct federal agents.
