An unidentified mother who was still nursing an 8-month-old infant was among three mothers with young children encountered by Gov. Kathy Hochul when she toured the Nutrition Bar Confectioners plant less than two weeks after the September 4, 2025 raid. She remained separated from her baby following the operation, according to Hochul's account, which her office's own transcript of the visit independently confirmed. The raid, carried out by roughly 60 armed and masked federal agents and local sheriff's deputies, swept more than 100 workers into a break room for questioning, arrested 57 of them, and separated more than 20 from their children.
