The day after an ICE agent killed Renee Good in Minneapolis, the Immigrant Defense Network held a constitutional observer training attended by more than 600 people. In total the network trained around 33,000 people as observers and 300 people to lead trainings, reaching 77 of Minnesota's 87 counties, according to MPR News. Organizers described a "muscle memory" of hyperlocal organizing that dated to the 2020 killing of George Floyd; neighborhood groups also ran hotlines, patrols, food deliveries and printed whistles to alert neighbors to ICE activity.
