Roberto Lamour, a Haitian immigrant and father of a 3-year-old daughter, was detained by ICE agents inside his Flatbush apartment on Oct. 3 after agents identified themselves as NYPD officers to gain entry to the building and his home. His wife, Darchnee Lamour, initially went to the local police precinct believing he had been arrested by NYPD, only learning later that ICE had taken him. Lamour was first taken to Delany Hall before being transferred to a detention facility in Mississippi; friends say he has no criminal record. Neighbors and elected officials, including Public Advocate Jumaane Williams, rallied on Oct. 22 demanding his release.
