2nd Circuit rejects Trump administration no-bond immigration detentions

A federal appeals court panel from the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the Trump administration cannot jail immigrants without the opportunity to seek bond. The court cited serious constitutional concerns about what it characterized as the broadest mass-detention-without-bond mandate in U.S. history. The ruling sets up potential Supreme Court review as other circuit courts have upheld the same policy.
