ICE arrests of undocumented immigrants in Colorado and Wyoming quadruple without criminal convictions

ICE arrests in Colorado and Wyoming surged to 2,273 from January to June 2025, up from 489 in the same period in 2024, with Wyoming arrests rising 136% year over year. Most people arrested had no criminal convictions, contradicting the Trump administration's stated focus on targeting individuals with serious crimes. Among those with convictions, DUI was the most commonly cited offense. Advocates report ICE is now routinely arresting undocumented immigrants with pending asylum cases and no criminal history, including people arrested at homes, workplaces, and while performing daily activities.
