Venezuelan man released after 126 days in immigration detention, case becomes precedent

Samuel Ochoa Ochoa, a Venezuelan immigrant, was detained by ICE and held for 126 days before a federal judge ordered his release in October. His habeas corpus ruling has since been cited as a favorable precedent in 186 other immigration cases filed in the Northern District of Illinois.
