ICE reports over 350,000 removals in fiscal year 2026

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement reported removing more than 356,000 individuals in fiscal year 2026, potentially setting a record. The agency currently detains 65,765 individuals, with 60% having criminal records. ICE is under scrutiny for two fatal shootings in Maine and Texas involving individuals in the country illegally who were not operation targets.
