Colombian activist Franklin Humberto Coral Garrido was deported to Colombia on July 16, 2026, after a memo signed by Secretary of State Marco Rubio requested his removal based on foreign policy concerns. Coral, who had entered the U.S. on a B1/B2 visa in 2015 and remained without authorization for nearly a decade, withdrew his pending asylum request and voluntarily departed.
