Venezuelan TPS holders detained or deported

Documented stories describe Venezuelan TPS holders detained by ICE across U.S. cities—including Charlotte, Houston, El Paso, and Cedar Rapids—during routine check-ins, traffic stops, airport travel, or home arrests, with some held for months in facilities in Georgia, Texas, and Indiana, and at least one case of men shackled on a deportation flight to Liberia rather than Venezuela. Cases have also included family separations, such as a father and young son detained together outside their home. First documented in March 2025, these reports have recurred every month since, maintaining a roughly steady share of overall documented cases throughout the record.}

On the watchlist: too few well-documented stories yet to call a pattern. First documented Mar 2025.

Share of each month's well-documented stories, Jan 2025 to Oct 2026. Volume is not shown: coverage grew over the record, shares did not have to.
