CBP agents deploy chemical irritants, tackle people, and arrest four outside Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis
On January 7, CBP agents deployed chemical irritants, pushed and tackled people, and arrested four people, including a Roosevelt High School staff member, outside the school in Minneapolis. Video footage shows one agent appear to knee and punch a person as agents detain them on the ground. A CBP official claimed agents were apprehending someone near the school after a vehicle chase when a crowd formed. The incident contributed to Minneapolis Public Schools closing entirely on January 8 and 9, impacting around 100 schools and 30,000 students.
