Two sisters, Alicia and Britany, ages 10 and 11, have been living alone in their Conroe apartment since their mother was detained by ICE. A relative has been helping the girls, but they lack permanent adult supervision, according to LULAC. The organization has filed a legal petition challenging the mother's detention and seeking her release, and the girls appeared at a Houston press conference where advocacy groups declared a 'State of Emergency' over ICE actions in the area.
